Family Christmas Photo
Thursday, December 27, 2007
Hello Family, hope all of you had a Merry Christmas. The family gathering was real nice. I really enjoyed our time together. Comet enjoyed meeting one of his cousin dogs. I'm glad they get along. Unfortunately with the large crowd that we have conversing with everyone doesn't happen; which is the only down side to the gathering. I was surprised that more things were not left behind. I can't wait for the next family gathering; which will have a new baby invited as well! Thinking of my family and hope everyone of you has a Happy, Healthy, Safe New Year. Anne

It's a BOY!
We sure enjoyed seeing everyone on the big turkey day. For those who couldn't come, we found out it is a boy!!!!!!! So the Rasmussen name will live on!!!
Thanksgiving was great! Thanks to Greg and Judy and the girls for hosting!
Here is the cranberry chutney recipe everyone seemed to like:
INGREDIENTS
1 (12 ounce) bag fresh or frozen cranberries
1 1/4 cups sugar
3/4 cup water
1 large cooking apple, chopped
2 teaspoons ground cinnamon
1 teaspoon ground ginger
1/4 teaspoon ground cloves
DIRECTIONS
In a saucepan, combine all ingredients; bring to a boil, stirring constantly. Reduce heat; simmer for 15-20 minutes or until apple is tender and mixture thickens. Cool completely.
Store in the refrigerator.
Serve over cream cheese with crackers or as a condiment with pork, ham or chicken.
Makes 12 servings

Road Trip to Pier Lake
Greetings All,
We've been neglectful in posting so we'll try to include all recent updates in the northwoods.
Included is a very recent photo of the newest member of our clan! His name is Foster and he's wonderful! Sadie is quite fond of him (which we discovered yesterday on a quick road trip over to Pier Lake...Sadie was very protective of her little one around Ole!) and Mocha and Jet are warming up to him too!
He's an Australian Shepherd mix and is 3 1/2 months old.
We took a little road trip to see Clare and Scott yesterday after the Packer win and had a great time. I wish I would have gotten a photo of the 3 kids playing in the yard...it was a gas! Thanks for the good time, Clare and Scott. We really need to to that more often!
The trees are starting to turn up here and fall is really in the air.
Hope everyone is doing well and hope to see you very soon!
Love,
Ann and Jerry

Dog
Another note, Ann and Jerry, Kathy thinks "Foster" would be a "cute" name, due to the fact that no name was mentioned in the E-mail.
The Specht's are on
After email changes and technology incapablities, we are now able to work with the blog. Due to the aforementioned technoloty incapabilities I, (Ryan) will be doing the majority of the writing, so should the posts come up in first person point of view, the "I" would be Ryan, unless otherwise stated. No other news to report.

Baby update
Baby Monty is doing well andI thought you all might enjoy a bambino update every once in a while...so here is update 1.
We are 2 months developed (yesterday) and the urge to purge can go away anytime now. It is really not so cool. But otherwise we are doing fine. Just a little tired.
I moved into new office space and it is really cool to be able to go home at night and not have to worry about work. Just family-time which I have never had before, so everyone is happy.
I nap a lot and sleep more but that is what Monty wants. Check out the Babystrology...pretty cool!
We will keep you posted as things progress.
Hope all is well!
